Mercy For Congo started life as a humanitarian organization in Haugesund, Norway October 2009 through initiative
from Mrs. Inga Marie Tolås, Mr. Gjermund Tolås and Mr. Jean Bonheur PANDE KONGOLO.

The Executive Secretary of the Foundation is represented in Kinshasa, DRCongo through the non governmental organisation – League of Youth for the Renaissance of Congo (LYREC)

Mercy for Congo Foundation has signed a new partnership that gave her power to establish the 3^rd hospitals in the capital city of Kinshasa. The new building need rehabilitation and medical equipment. We are raising over $36.600USD to secure health care of majority of poor people coming from communes of Makala, Ngaba, Mont Ngafula and Mbanza Lemba in the district of Mont Amba in the same city. The building has 35 rooms for inside patients plus 1 maternity hall, 1 surgery room and 12 offices for doctors and administrative staff. Your contribution would safe lives in DRC. This is a Mercy For Congo humanitarian campaign. The purpose is collecting medical equipment for shipping to Congo where we have a functional nonprofit hospital in the Commune of Masina in Kinshasa. The majority of the people living in the district of Tshangu live below UN definition of poverty ($1USD per day).

Health care service is not affordable, accessible and reliable to the majority of poor families. Six out of ten families prefer to get medical treatment at the traditional man; traditional men are not train doctors but have some believe generated to them by their grand fathers. We would like to end this practice since it is producing more death than preventing illness.
